Ludhiana, Punjab: A case of murder of a woman who had a love marriage four months ago has come to light in Ludhiana. The body has been recovered from a rented room where the couple had shifted just four-five days ago. The room was locked from outside. The body had completely decomposed. Whereas her husband Sunil had said that his wife was absconding.
When a foul smell spread in the area, the landlord informed the family of the deceased. After this, when they broke the lock, the body was found inside. The deceased has been identified as Radhika 19. Ludhiana Police is investigating the case. It is believed that she was strangled to death.
Hands were tied, murdered by strangulation
Ludhiana Police ACP Anil Bhanot, who reached the spot, said that the deceased has been identified as Radhika. According to the family, she had a love marriage a few months ago. They had shifted here a few days ago. It seems that she has been strangled to death. The family member is absconding. The deceased’s hands were also tied. It is clear that she has been murdered.
Everything was fine until Sunday night
Earlier the couple used to live on Tibba Road, after that they came here. The girl’s family also lives here. The accused is 25-26 years old. On Sunday at around 10-11 pm the landlord’s daughter went to meet the girl. At that time both of them had gone home. The incident happened on Monday morning. The postmortem made everything clear. The heat is very high, so the body’s system has changed. The forensic team is still investigating. A case is being filed against the husband. Soon the whole truth will come out.
When the brother broke the lock, a dead body was lying inside
The deceased’s sister Asha said that this incident happened in lane number five of Fatehganj locality. Four-five months ago, my sister had a love marriage. She was the third one in our house. They started living here a few days ago. Both of them were seen till 11 pm on Sunday night. After that, no one saw them. When my brother came here today, the room was locked.
The landlord was called. There was a foul smell. We suspected my sister’s husband Sunil. There was no demand of any kind. Asha says that two-three days ago she was saying that she now wants to get married in court because it was a love marriage in a temple. The boy’s family was saying that you should get married with everyone’s consent so that there is no problem later. I can’t understand what happened.
