Batala (Punjab) : In broad daylight robbers looted 130gram gold and Rs 5,000 cash at gunpoint from a jeweller shop Mann Nagar of Batala. After received the information police reached on the spot and has been started the Investigation. There is anger among the people due to lack of control on the incidents happening in the area every day.
Police officials told that they have taken the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby the jeweller shop. Police official revealed that robber have carried out the robbery with full planning . After this suddenly a third robber arrives. The one who was almost dressed like a Nihang Singh came and took out a sharp weapon. Then one of the two robbers already present took out a pistol, took the jeweller at gunpoint and ran away with all the gold.
Babbar Jeweller owner Suvinder Singh said that in the afternoon three people came to the shop on bike, they wear Nihang Singh dress. One of them took out a revolver and the other took out a sharp knife and looted the gold. The victim Suvinder Singh told that a person had already come to the shop twice and inquired about the gold.
DSP Azad Davinder Singh said that the statement of the victim shopkeeper has been recorded. Nearby CCTVs are being scrutinized. The robbers will be arrested soon.
