Amritsar: Border Security Force has apprehended a intruder from border fence. BSF troop recovered weapon from him. Officials said that BSF troops on duty observed suspicious movement of a person approaching towards the border security fence from Pakistan side, in border area of district Amritsar. Recovered Weapon From Intruder

BSF troops challenged the intruder, on which he took out a pistol and fired 01 round in air. However, the BSF personnel compelled him to surrender and subsequently apprehended him at about 01:50 pm and seized the pistol from his possession.

This apprehension took place near Village Doke of Amritsar district. Upon searching, 01 Pistol with magazine and 05 rounds of 0.38 calibres were found from his possession. Questioning of the intruder is being done by the BSF and other agencies for obtaining further information. This significant apprehension of an armed Pak intruder by alert and vigilant BSF troops underscores BSF’s commitment to maintain the sanctity of International Boundary (IB) and create a sense of security among the border population.
