Chandigarh: Lack of evidence the district court has acquitted four accused gangsters Neeraj Chaska, Chamkaur Singh alias Baint, Gurmeet Singh Geeta and Gurvinder Singh Dhadhi in the murder case of Gurlal Brar. Gurlal brar was brother of Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar. Gangster Neeraj is also an accused in the Surjeet bouncer murder case that took place in Chaska Sector-38. At the same time, gangster Dilpreet Singh Dhahan alias Bawa, who shot at singer Parmish Verma, was also an accused in this case.
He had already been discharged by the court. Gangster Neeraj Chaska’s lawyer Praful Kashyap told the court that his client was implicated in a false case by the police. The police could not present any evidence against Neeraj which could prove that Gurlal Brar was murdered by Neeraj Chaska.
Gurlal was Shot Dead October 2020
Late on the night of 10 October 2020, Gurlal was waiting for someone in a Fortuner car outside City Emporium Mall located in Brar Industrial Area. Meanwhile, two masked bike riders came near the car and started firing bullets. In this attack, Gurlal was hit by bullets on his head, chest and arm. The police and Gurlal’s friends took him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The Industrial Area police station had registered a case against the unknown under sections including murder, Arms Act and other sections, but later arrested five accused.
