Ferozpur : Sacrilege accused of Shri Guru Granth Sahib has been beaten to death in Ferozepur. This incident took place in Bandala village of Mallanwal Khas town. As soon as the incident was known, senior police officers reached at the spot. Situation has been tense in village.
According to police sources, around 3 pm on Saturday , people came to know that a young man had committed sacrilege in the Gurudwara Sahib of the village. The accused has torn parts of Shri Guru Granth Sahib. After this a crowd gathered there. The mob caught the accused and beat him severely. Due to which he died. The deceased youth has been identified as Bakshish Singh, a resident of Talligulam. Police is investigating the entire matter.
Police officials Said that the incident took place in Gurudwara of Baba Deep Singh Ji of village Bandala. They found in initial investigation that the youth came inside and committed disrespect and devotees caught him.
They took him out. After this crowd gathered there and he was badly beaten. Police took him to the hospital but he died there. Police also seized the DVR of the CCTV camera from Spot.
