Gurdaspur: A drug-addicted servant has murder Bhai Balwinder Singh Khalsa, nephew of Sant Kartar Singh Khalsa Bhindranwala. Sant Kartar Singh Khalsa is the 13th head of Damdami Taksal and chief spokesperson of Sant Samaj in Gurdaspur, Punjab.
On Tuesday night, Bhai Balwinder Singh was attacked with a sword by his drug-addicted servant Ramandeep Singh while he was sleeping in his house near Gurdwara Guru Ramdas Sahib near Kasba Ghuman in Batala, Gurdaspur, Punjab. Bhai Balwinder Singh Khalsa was the head of Gurdwara Guru Ramdas Sahib.
Murder in rivalry
Bhai Balwinder Singh had scolded the servant Ramandeep for taking drugs and threatened to throw him out of the Gurudwara. Due to this, the accused attacked the sleeping bhai Balwinder Singh Khalsa with a sword. In which he died on the spot. The police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for postmortem.
According to the police, the young man who committed the murder, Ramandeep Singh, had become addicted to drugs, due to which Bhai Balwinder Singh Khalsa had scolded him and threatened to throw him out of the Gurudwara. Due to this rivalry, the accused Ramandeep Singh commit the murder.
They attacked him with a sharp weapon (sword) and killed him. After this he fled from the spot. Police is conducting raids to arrest him. In this case, a CCTV video has also surfaced in which the accused Ramandeep is seen running away after committing the crime.
