Ludhiana: Worse situation of law and order in Ludhiana. Incidents of firing have become common in Ludhiana, which is known as Mini Manchester. Monday evening Two youths were injured by bullets in the firing that took place over an old rivalry on the railway track in Abdullahpur Basti.
Both have been identified as Gurpreet Singh (25) and Sukhpreet Singh. Both were injured in cross firing and admitted to a private hospital. But Seeing their serious condition, the doctors referred both to DMC hospital.
According to eyewitnesses, about 6 bullets were fired.
A video of the incident has also got viral on social media, in which some youths are seen running on the railway track when bullets were fired. In which both were seriously injured.
Gurpreet had returned from Portugal a few days ago after his spine treatment. GRP police station is investigating the matter. Gurpreet’s father Nirvair Singh told that Johnny had a dispute with some youth of the area on Sunday.
After the said dispute, Gurpreet Singh went to the police station with one of the parties to lodge complaint. Johnny had a grudge against this. Late Monday evening, Gurpreet and Sukhpreet were roaming near Manjeet Nagar railway gate.
Then some people opened fire on both of them. One bullet hit Gurpreet’s stomach and the other on his thigh. A bullet has hit Sukhpreet. After firing the bullets the accused fled from the spot. He took both the injured to the hospital, where their condition is critical.
