Punjab Police had got informed over phone from Delhi IGI Airport about the detention of Prabhpreet Singh. A team of SSOC Amritsar reached Delhi and the accused was arrested.

DGP told in his tweet that Punjab Police is working to unearth the whole KZF Network and other associates linked in the web. He said that Punjab police is fully committed to maintain peace and harmony in the state. Giving information in this regard, DGP Gaurav Yadav said that after obtaining remand of the accused till April 15, further action has been started.

DGP Yadav said that in 2020, State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) Amritsar, based on information had detected the network being spread in Punjab by KZF terrorist Jagdish Singh Bhura. The police took action and arrested four associates of Bhura and busted the module. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the accused.

Jagdish Bhura given instructions

During interrogation, the accused told that they were working on the instructions of wanted terrorist Jagdish Singh Bhura and his close associate Prabhpreet Singh. Their aim was target killing. After which the police issued a look out circular against both the terrorists.

Explaining the preliminary investigation, AIG SSOC Amritsar Sukhminder Singh Mann said that accused Prabhpreet had gone to Poland on a valid visa in 2017 and moved to Germany by road in 2020. He applied for political asylum in order to obtain permanent residence in Germany.

Came in contact with Jagdish Bhura in Germany

AIG Mann said that during his stay in Germany, accused Prabhjeet came in contact with Belgium-based KZF terrorist Jagdish Singh Bhura. Both the accused together started arranging money and weapons to their Indian associate to carry out the target killing.
