Punjabi singer Ranjit Bath, his nephew booked for killing NRI woman’s father

Ludhiana: After getting deported from Australia twice, a Punjabi singer Ranjit Bath alias Ranjit Singh Kalon murdered the father of an NRI woman to whom Bath was stalking for months. Bath informed about the murder to the woman, who is presently in Australia, through Whatsapp message. According to the police, Bath’s nephew Gulli also accompanied.

Ludhiana: After getting deported from Australia twice, a Punjabi singer Ranjit Bath alias Ranjit Singh Kalon murdered the father of an NRI woman to whom Bath was stalking for months.

Bath informed about the murder to the woman, who is presently in Australia, through Whatsapp message.

According to the police, Bath’s nephew Gulli also accompanied Bath in the crime. The Dakha police have lodged an FIR against Ranjit Bath of Village Bath Kalan, Nakodar, Jalandhar and his nephew on the statement of the victim’s son Vikram Saggar of Kila Raipur.

Vikram Saggar stated that his father, Ravinderpal Singh, went missing a few days ago and on Thursday, he was informed of a body at the Civil Hospital mortuary, which he identified as his father.

When Saggar contacted his sister Kirandeep in Australia, she revealed that she first encountered Ranjit Bath on the video app TikTok a few months ago and the accused was forcing her to divorce her husband and marry him.

Kirandeep shared that Ranjit Bath had come to Australia in June this year but after Kirandeep lodged a complaint against him, he was deported in the same month. The accused again came to Australia in August but was again deported from the airport.

Saggar added in his statement that as per his sister, the accused had murdered their father on August 25 as the accused shared a message to her on the same day.

Inspector Kulwinder Singh, SHO, Dakha Police Station, confirmed that an FIR has been registered against the accused under sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the BNS Act.

The accused are yet to be arrested.
