Gurdaspur: Two unidentified scooty-ridden assailants opened fire outside the house of Congress’s constituency youth chief Nakul Mahajan, who lives in ward 25 of the city on Wednesday Night. However, the incident came to light in the morning. On receiving the information, Congress’s district youth chief Advocate Baljit Singh Pahra reached there.
On receiving information regarding the incident, the city police station staff also reached the spot and started action in the case. Nakul Mahajan has told the police that he had also received a threatening call on his phone at night. During the police investigation, a call came again from the same foreign number at around 11 am. The person threatening him said, “You are still alive.”
The firing incident has also been captured in CCTV, in which the masked youth is seen continuously firing bullets at the gate of the house. It is worth noting that Nakul Mahajan is very close to constituency MLA Barindermeet Singh Pahra.
