Tarn Taran (Punjab): Law and order situatiion has worse in border area district Tarn Taran. Smuggling od drugs and other criminal activities like murder etc. often in this area. Recently, a case of a youth being shot dead has come to light in Tank Kuchtari Mohalla of Tarn Taran in Punjab. The injured youth was referred to Amritsar, where he died.
The deceased youth has been identified as Vinay Kumar alias Vinny. Vinay Kumar alias Vinny, 25-year-old son of Ramesh Kumar, used to run a grocery shop in the locality. Late last night, Vinny had just left for home after closing the shop, some miscreants came on a bike and as soon as they arrived, they started firing bullets at Vinny with a pistol. One bullet passed through his chest, while the other bullet passed close to the forehead. He was brought to the Civil Hospital in an injured condition, from where he was referred to Amritsar.
Vinny was being taken to Amritsar, but he died on the way. Tarn Taran SPD Ajay Raj Singh, CIA staff team and Tarn Taran DSP and SHO Harjinder Singh reached the spot and took the body in their custody and started investigation.
