Jalandhar, Punjab: A young man was shot and injured on Saturday night in Kamal Vihar under Rama Mandi police station of Jalandhar Commissionerate Police. The young man has been admitted to the Civil Hospital in critical condition. The entire incident has been captured in the CCTV camera installed there.
The injured youth has been identified as Manish Kumar, son of Vijay Kumar, resident of Mohalla Narayan, Kamal Vihar, Basheerpura. Manish works as a cable operator. According to information, Manish was sitting near the railway line on Saturday night, when some youths passing by shot him and fled from the spot.
At present, the condition of the injured is critical
As soon as the incident was reported, Rama Mandi Thana SHO Manjinder Singh reached the spot with the police party and started investigation. The police have started scanning the CCTV footage and the accused are being searched.
The family members say that the place where this incident happened comes under the jurisdiction of the Railway Police. In such a situation, further action will be taken by the Railway Police. At present, the condition of the injured Manish is critical and he is undergoing treatment in the Civil Hospital.
