Cross Border Drug-Arms Module Busted: Amritsar Police arrest three with 915 grams ICE

In a breakthrough, Amritsar Commissionerate Police busted a cross-border drug and arms smuggling module. The police also apprehended three accused, and recovered 915 grams ICE (Methamphetamine), 5 pistols, and live cartridges.

The information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav through a post on X.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were in contact with Pakistan-based smugglers and were acting as local handlers for the distribution of drugs and illegal arms.

An FIR has been registered at PS Gate Hakima, Amritsar. Further investigation is underway to trace forward and backward linkages and dismantle the entire network.

DGP Yadav assured that the Punjab Police remains firmly committed to a zero-tolerance policy against drugs, illegal arms, and organised crime.
