Crucial meeting of SGPC’s internal committee in Amritsar today

A meeting of the SGPC’s internal committee is scheduled to be held today in Amritsar. The meeting will take place at 11 AM at the SGPC headquarters. It is reported that the meeting will involve a detailed discussion on the FIR recently filed by the Punjab government.

The FIR pertains to a sensitive issue related to the sacred scriptures of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, following which the SGPC decided to convene this special meeting immediately.

All office bearers informed, Dhami to preside over the meeting

According to SGPC Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Manan, all members and office bearers have already been informed about the meeting. The meeting will be presided over by SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami.

Review of religious implications and legal aspects

The meeting will review all sections of the FIR, its religious implications, and legal aspects. Important decisions are also expected regarding the SGPC’s future course of action in this matter, including whether to seek clarification from the government or to expedite legal proceedings.
