Jalandhar: The Municipal Corporation of Jalandhar has begun cracking down on illegal construction. Earlier, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Gautam Jain had issued notices to those carrying out illegal construction in the city.
However, the individuals involved in illegal construction did not take the notices seriously and continued their work. Subsequently, the corporation initiated the process of sealing and sealing many illegal buildings and commercial complexes by posting notices outside.
The owners were warned to legalize their buildings by obtaining approval for their maps from the corporation and changing the CLU. Unfortunately, no one paid any attention to the notices.
The building branch of the Municipal Corporation has initiated demolition actions against illegal construction works. This morning, officials from the building branch used bulldozers to demolish three double-story under-construction buildings in Gulmohar City.
ATP Sukhdev Vashisht of Nagar Nigam Building Branch stated that the owners of the buildings had previously received notices and were instructed to halt construction until they obtained approval from the corporation. However, the owners did not take the notices seriously.
In addition to the three double-story houses under construction, a commercial complex in Gulmohar City was also subjected to bulldozer action. It was reported that a commercial complex being illegally constructed in Gulmohar City was also demolished.
