Cylinder burst due to gas leak in Ludhiana: Couple burnt, woman referred to PGI

A case of cylinder blast has come to light this morning in Ludhiana, Punjab. The couple got badly burned in the blast. The woman has suffered 65 percent burn injuries while her husband has suffered 45 percent burns. Seeing the woman’s critical condition, the doctors have referred her to PGI. This incident of a cylinder blast took place in Rajiv Gandhi Colony. The couple lives in a rented room.

The woman’s husband, Vikas, said that he was sleeping in the room this morning. His wife Rita was cutting vegetables by placing a vessel on the gas. Then suddenly, a fire broke out in the room. After the fire, there was an explosion. People took him and Rita out of the room.

Neighbor woman Ritu said that after the fire broke out in the room, the screaming sounds of Rita and Vikas came out. Everyone gathered. They were taken out with the help of people. All the things in Rita and Vikas’ room have been burned. The injured have been admitted to the civil hospital with the help of people.

The doctors gave first aid and referred Rita to PGI in a critical condition. According to the doctors, Rita has suffered 60 to 70 percent burns while Vikas has suffered 45 percent burns.
