Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh to become parents for the second time

Mumbai: Bollywood’s favorite couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, are all set to embrace parenthood for the second time.

Pregnancy Announcement Made on Social Media

On Sunday, Deepika announced her pregnancy with a cute social media post.

She shared an adorable photo of her daughter, Dua, holding a positive pregnancy test on her Instagram handle.

The “Cocktail” actress simply captioned the post with two evil eye emojis.

As soon as the post appeared, fans and celebrities began congratulating her in the comments section.

Bhumi Pednekar wrote “Congratulations,” while Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Parineeti Chopra also shared their best wishes with heart and kiss emojis.

Journey from Love Story to Family

For those who don’t know, their love story began on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.

Ranveer proposed to Deepika during a trip to the Maldives in 2015, although the couple kept their engagement a secret for three years.

The couple then married on November 14-15, 2018, in Lake Como, Italy.

Now a second baby after their first child, Dua

Deepika and Ranveer welcomed their first daughter, Dua, on September 8, 2024.

Naming their daughter ‘Dua Padukone Singh,’ they wrote, “Dua: meaning a prayer, because she is the answer to our prayers.”

Previously, the two have appeared together in films like Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, and 83, and their chemistry has been well-received by audiences.

Apart from this, both of them have also done cameo in each other’s films Finding Fanny and Cirkus.
