Mumbai: Television actress Deepika Singh, along with the cast of her hit show Mangal Lakshmi, found a desi way to beat the biting cold in Georgia, where the team has travelled to shoot special episodes of the drama.
Paratha Break on the Sets in Georgia
Deepika shared a fun behind-the-scenes video on social media showing co-stars Naman Shaw and Urvashi Upadhyay relishing homemade parathas. With temperatures dipping low, the actors turned to comfort food to stay warm. Adding humour to the moment, Naman suggested loading up on spicy pickles as the perfect remedy for the Georgian chill. Deepika captioned the clip, “Behind the scenes in Georgia,” accompanied by heart and folded-hands emojis.
Shooting Abroad, Thanking Fans for Support
Earlier, the actress had posted pictures from their arrival in Georgia, thanking fans for the love showered on Mangal Lakshmi. She shared that the team was shooting a few special episodes overseas and urged viewers to continue supporting the show, which airs Monday to Friday at 9 p.m.
Dance Skills Come to the Rescue
Deepika also recently revealed how her background as an actor-dancer proved helpful during a rushed shoot. She shared a video of herself dancing with her co-star to the title track of the 1999 film Taal, explaining that a choreography she had once casually watched online came back to her when the team had barely 15 minutes to film the sequence. Crediting her Odissi dancer friend Purnata Mohanty for the inspiration, Deepika said her dance training has often helped her navigate challenging moments on set.
