A BJP leader from Delhi took his own life by consuming poison outside his in-laws’ house in Kanpur. Before his death, he recorded an audio on WhatsApp and sent it to the police and his family. The BJP leader said, ‘UP Police, you give justice. I am going to die.’
In the audio received by Barra police, the BJP leader said, ‘I do not want to die, but my in-laws had planned to kill me entirely. They devised such a strategy that I would commit suicide myself. My mother-in-law had been after me for a long time; causing damage at home and deceiving my wife was her favorite activity.’
Friends contacted his uncle as soon as they received the audio on WhatsApp. The uncle admitted Vinod to Hallet for treatment, where the doctors declared him dead. The incident occurred late Thursday night in the Barra area. Vinod Kumar Mishra (38) from Kannauj was the BJP Mandal President of Narela in Delhi.
There used to be fights about the wife going to her parental home.
Vinod Kumar Mishra, a resident of Taligram, Nepalpur, Kannauj, was working as a Field Officer at Axis Bank in Delhi. His uncle, R.K. Mishra, who lives in Barra World Bank Colony, said that Vinod got married 16 years ago to Anita alias Aarti Mishra, who lived in Barra. They have three children: Kartik, Pihu, and Atal. Vinod lived in Delhi with his family.
Kartik is a 10th-grade student at DAV College in Narela, Pihu is in 9th grade, and the youngest son Atal is in 4th grade at Air Force School. After contesting the municipal corporation elections in Delhi as a Congress Party councilor, Vinod joined the BJP. Afterwards, he was appointed as the Narela Mandal President. Vinod often used to have fights about his wife going to her parental home.
Just three months ago, Vinod had persuaded his wife and taken her from her parental home to Delhi. After that, on April 2, telling the family about a marriage, his wife Aarti had come to Kanpur. After that, she was not going back again.
He had gone to visit Ayodhya before dying.
When Vinod called his wife and asked her to come, a fight started between the two. On April 26, Vinod went to his in-laws to take his wife home. But the in-laws did not allow him to meet her. After this, Vinod complained about the matter to Barra police.
The police called both sides to the station, but Aarti did not come to the station. After this, Vinod went to his uncle’s house. R.K. Mishra said that on Wednesday, Vinod had gone to Ayodhya Ram Lalla with his friend Manish.
On Thursday, he returned and went to his in-laws to give prasad to his wife. When he asked his wife to go home, an argument started between the two. After this, he went outside the in-laws’ house and consumed poison.
Vinod sent a voice recording of about 9 minutes to his family members, friends, and also to Barra Inspector Ravindra Srivastava. When his condition worsened, a friend informed his family. In a hurry, they took him to Halat Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
My wife’s mother had been after me for a long time
I want to tell everyone that my in-laws had made a complete plan to kill me. They vowed to destroy my entire family. The people involved in this are my wife Aarti Mishra’s mother Mithlesh Kumari, her brother Vikas Tiwari, maternal uncle’s son Sunil Tiwari, sister Anju and her husband.
I was living my life very well, anyone can see. Every festival, birthday was celebrated with great pomp. My wife’s mother had been after me for a long time. Tricking his wife was a game of his left hand. My wife would get in touch with it and she would take unfair advantage of it. Still, I was somehow holding my arms and legs.
Wife left with jewelry, belongings, and daughter
The incident is of April 2. I was going to the office in the morning; my wife was cooking. I ate the food and went to the office. My wife, daughter Pihu, son Kartik, and Atal were at my home. Suddenly at 4:30 PM, my wife took daughter Pihu and the household belongings, along with jewelry, and left.
When my son came home at 6 PM, the door was locked. The lady living in front of our house gave the children the key and said that your mother has gone to the market. When she did not return by 6:30 PM, my son called me. When I arrived home, I saw that all the household items were in disarray. My wife had taken all the belongings with her.
I do not care about the belongings or money. I regard no one more than my family. I love my daughter and wife very much. After this, I tried to find the whereabouts of my wife but got no information.
Sold the house because of my mother-in-law, was living peacefully in Delhi
After that, I called my brother-in-law and went to Kanpur. My wife’s mother used to constantly create disturbances in different ways. She always tried to belittle me. I had a house in H Block, Kanpur, which was quite close to her house, so I sold it and came to Delhi. I lived peacefully in Delhi for five or six years, then her mother started misbehaving.
I went to my in-laws’ house with my brother-in-law and sons, where my brother-in-law drove me away by verbally abusing me from outside. I sent Sushila Sachan from the neighborhood to her house and found out that my daughter and wife were at the in-laws’.
I felt relieved that my wife and daughter were safe. I went to the house on April 11 to take my wife and daughter, because her studies were being affected. She had to be admitted to a military school. I paid 40 thousand rupees from my credit card for her coaching.
Besides this, I had also brought books worth six and a half thousand. I was mentally disturbed that my daughter’s future was being harmed. When I arrived on April 12, the in-laws started using abusive language.
The son of my wife’s maternal uncle did a very wrong thing.
I asked my wife, and she told me that it was a mistake, and to come at half past six. I will go with you. When I reached home at half past six, I found out that mama’s son Sunil Tiwari had taken my wife to his house. I called many times, but he did not pick up the phone.
Sunil Tiwari has played a very wrong role in my life. When my 8-year-old son called his mother to talk, he did not let them talk. My child kept crying to talk.
I told Sunil Tiwari that if you want, I can touch your feet, touch Aarti’s mother’s feet. I have an 8-year-old son who was not eating or drinking anything. When I called again on Sunday, he said that your wife has been sent to the village.
Yesterday evening, when my son Atal called his mother, Sunil answered the phone. When my son asked to speak to his mother, he refused. When he asked when mother would come, he said that he did not know when she would come.
Now, the desire to live is gone.
My wife’s family has made my life hell. My social image is ruined. I am worried about my children’s education. I did not know what enmity these people were venting. Now my desire to live is gone. Now I am asking forgiveness from everyone.
I am asking forgiveness from my sons Karthik and Atal that son, I could not support you. I am asking forgiveness from my mother, uncle, and brother. My uncle has bowed for me. With folded hands, I pray to everyone that such people be exposed. The ones responsible for my death are Sunil Tiwari, my wife’s mother Mithlesh Kumari, Vikas Tiwari, sister Anju, and her husband. Now I have nothing left. I am committing suicide.
