Delhi Factory Stabbing: 19-Year-Old Worker Stabbed to Death by Fellow Worker in Jafrabad

New Delhi: A 19-year-old factory worker was allegedly stabbed to death by a fellow employee in Northeast Delhi’s Jafrabad area, triggering panic in the locality. The incident took place at a factory near Millat Mosque in Chauhan Bangar late Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Sahil, a resident of Amroha in Uttar Pradesh. He was the son of Faheem and worked and lived at the factory located in Bangar Gali No. 4.

According to police, around 10:15 p.m. on Sunday, Jafrabad police station received information from JPC Hospital about a man who had been brought to the hospital with stab injuries.

Doctors declared Sahil brought dead.

A preliminary investigation found that Sahil was allegedly attacked with a knife by a fellow worker at the factory. Police and Crime Branch teams reached the spot and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the killing.

The Forensic Science Team also visited the factory and collected evidence from the crime scene.

Case registered, police search for accused

Police have registered a case at Jafrabad police station under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Teams have been deployed to identify and apprehend the suspected attacker. Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the stabbing and are examining evidence collected from the scene.

The exact motive behind the killing has not yet been established. Further investigation is underway.

Another killing reported in East Delhi

Meanwhile, another fatal assault was reported in East Delhi’s Mayur Vihar Phase-3, under the jurisdiction of New Ashok Nagar police station.

Police received information around 5 a.m. on Sunday that a young man had allegedly been beaten to death with sticks and rods by unidentified persons. A police team reached the spot, cordoned off the area and launched an investigation.

Several hours after the incident, the identity of the deceased was still unknown. Police took the body into custody and preserved it for post-mortem examination.

Officials are checking missing persons’ records at nearby police stations to establish the victim’s identity.

The preliminary investigation suggests that the killing may have been linked to personal rivalry, robbery or another dispute, though police said the exact motive would be known only after the accused are identified and apprehended.

The investigation into both cases is continuing.
