Delhi IRS Officer’s Daughter Found Dead at Home

Delhi, April 22: On Wednesday morning, in Delhi’s Kailash Hills area, the 22-year-old daughter of a senior IRS officer was raped and subsequently murdered inside her home. According to the police, the incident occurred around 6:00 AM, at a time when the young woman was alone in the house.

The IRS officer and his wife had gone to the gym, as was their daily routine. Upon their return, they discovered their daughter’s body in her room. She was preparing for the UPSC examinations. Preliminary investigations have revealed that she was first raped and then strangled to death using a mobile phone charging cable.

According to the police, 19-year-old Rahul Meena is the prime suspect in this case. He had worked as a domestic help in the IRS officer’s household for approximately eight months. He had been dismissed from his job about a month ago following allegations of financial irregularities regarding daily household expenses.

Severe Injuries to the Victim’s Face and Head

According to sources, Meena possessed intimate knowledge of the house’s layout and the family’s daily routine. He was also aware of the specific times when the young woman’s parents would leave the house for their morning walk or to visit the gym.

It is reported that the accused entered the house around 6:00 AM, attacked the young woman, and raped her. During the assault, he also struck her with a stick, inflicting severe injuries to the victim’s face and head.

Subsequently, he strangled her using a mobile charging cable and fled the scene. The police have stated that multiple teams have been constituted to apprehend the accused.

Police Detain Car Cleaner and Current Domestic Help

So far, the police have detained a car cleaner and another domestic help currently employed at the residence for questioning. The incident has created an atmosphere of panic and fear within the locality.

The police have registered a case, and a forensic team has collected evidence from the crime scene. CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being scrutinized, and individuals who may have had contact with the accused are being interrogated.
