Delhi Firing in Kalindi Kunj Leaves One Injured, Alleged Conspirator Arrested

New Delhi: A firing incident allegedly linked to personal enmity left a man injured in Delhi’s Madanpur Khadar area, police said. The incident took place at Bablu Dairy in JJ Colony, within the limits of Kalindi Kunj Police Station, on September 3.

According to police, two rounds were allegedly fired inside the Dholwala Office, injuring a man identified as Rohit in his finger.

Police begin probe after firing

Police received a PCR call regarding the incident and reached the spot to begin an investigation.

During the initial enquiry, Tarun alias Ranjan, 25, and Rohit, 23, were found at the location and questioned by police.

As the investigation progressed, police identified Bhupender alias Guddu alias Dholwala, Monu, Deepak Bhagat and Ravi alias Baba as persons allegedly involved in the incident.

An independent witness, Mehboob Khan, who runs a nearby biryani shop, also provided information to police. According to the investigation, Khan corroborated the presence of the alleged accused in the area and said he heard a quarrel followed by gunfire.

Personal enmity behind firing, police say

Police said the incident was allegedly part of a conspiracy arising from personal enmity involving Rohit Dhobi of Govindpuri and Deepak.

Following the investigation, police added Section 61(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deals with criminal conspiracy, to the case.

Police subsequently arrested Bhupender alias Guddu, alleging that he was involved in the conspiracy.

Police said efforts are underway to apprehend the other persons allegedly involved in the firing incident.

The investigation is continuing to establish the complete sequence of events and the role of each person allegedly connected with the case.
