Delhi-Leh Bus Service: Ready to run once again amidst snow-capped mountains, find out the fare

If you, too, are fond of traveling through snow-capped mountains, then get ready. The Himachal Road Transport Corporation’s (HRTC) highly anticipated Delhi-Keylong-Leh bus service is set to resume on May 26. The District Disaster Management Authority has reopened the Keylong-Leh route for the movement of all types of vehicles. Once the necessary formalities are completed, the Corporation’s buses will begin plying on the country’s longest route. This bus service had been suspended during the winter season. The resumption of this bus service will bring relief to travelers and tourists heading towards Leh.

A key highlight is that this bus will pass through several major tourist destinations situated along National Highway-03. During the journey, the bus will reach Leh after passing through significant locations such as Jispa, Darcha, Zingzing Bar, Baralacha La, Bharatpur, Sarchu, Gata Loops, Nakee La Pass, Tanglang La, Rumtse, and Upshi. According to HRTC, the total distance from Delhi to Leh is approximately 990 kilometers. The fare for this journey has been fixed at ₹1,839. For the convenience of passengers, an online booking facility has also been made available on the HRTC portal.

Bus Schedule
According to the scheduled timetable, the bus will depart from Delhi at 12:10 PM. Subsequently, it will reach Ambala Cantt at 3:50 PM, Chandigarh at 6:20 PM, Mandi at 10:55 PM, Kullu at 1:30 AM, Manali at 2:30 AM, and Keylong at 5:30 AM. Thereafter, the bus will arrive in Leh at 7:00 PM on the following day. For the return journey, the bus will depart from Leh at 3:30 AM and reach Keylong at 4:30 PM.
