Delhi L-G Meets CM, Reviews Development & Security

New Delhi: Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Tuesday discussed development and security issues in a series of meetings with Rekha Gupta, her Cabinet colleagues, senior officials of the Delhi administration, and top officers of the Delhi Police.

Detailed Discussion on Development Plans

According to information provided by Lok Niwas on the social media platform X, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta met with the LG along with her Cabinet and briefed him on the ongoing development plans in the capital. The meeting discussed in detail the goal of a “developed Delhi.” LG Sandhu highlighted the challenges and opportunities facing Delhi and emphasized the need for joint efforts by all stakeholders.

Lok Niwas said that collective resolve is essential to develop Delhi as a global capital, in line with Narendra Modi’s vision.

Review of Administrative Work

LG Sandhu held a separate meeting with senior officials of the Delhi Administration to review key governance and administrative issues. During the meeting, discussions focused on the functioning of various departments, policy implementation, and matters related to public interest. Emphasis was placed on working with better coordination and transparency so that people can benefit maximally from government schemes.

Emphasis on Strengthening Security

The LG also met with the Commissioner and Special Commissioners of Delhi Police. He commended the police’s performance and the challenges they face and directed them to further strengthen the security system.

In a message, the LG stated that Delhi’s security system should be in keeping with the dignity of the national capital and India’s growing global role. He encouraged the police to work more effectively, accountably, and vigilantly.

Chief Minister Calls It a Positive Step

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also described the meeting as positive, saying that continuous dialogue and coordination between the government and the administration is a strong foundation for development and good governance.

She said that meaningful discussions took place on public welfare schemes and the vision of making Delhi a modern and world-class capital.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that his government is working with full commitment for the bright future and overall development of every citizen of Delhi.
