New Delhi: Delhi Police have arrested 10 people in a coordinated operation targeting the online circulation of Child Sexual Exploitative and Abuse Material (CSEAM), marking a major crackdown on cyber-enabled child sexual exploitation. The operation was carried out across multiple police station jurisdictions in the Central district following intelligence inputs and technical investigations.

Police said the action was launched after investigators received cyber tip-offs and conducted digital analysis, which revealed the alleged online transmission and circulation of prohibited child sexual abuse material.

Operation launched after cyber intelligence and digital investigation

According to police, the investigation began after authorities received international cyber tip-line inputs indicating illegal online activities involving Child Sexual Exploitative and Abuse Material.

Technical verification and digital scrutiny reportedly confirmed the transmission of prohibited content, prompting the registration of criminal cases and coordinated raids at multiple locations across the Central district.

Special police teams were formed to simultaneously target identified suspects using electronic surveillance, technical intelligence and digital tracing methods.

10 FIRs registered under POCSO Act and IT Act

Police registered 10 FIRs under the relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Information Technology (IT) Act at several police stations, including IP Estate, Paharganj, Jama Masjid, Kamla Market, Patel Nagar and Chandni Mahal.

The arrested individuals are accused of allegedly uploading and circulating Child Sexual Exploitative and Abuse Material through digital platforms. Police have withheld their identities as the investigation is ongoing.

Digital devices seized; forensic analysis underway

Investigators have seized mobile phones and other electronic devices allegedly used in the commission of the offences. The seized gadgets have been sent for detailed forensic examination to recover digital evidence and identify additional links to the network.

Police said technical experts are analysing electronic data and monitoring further online activity to identify other suspects connected to the alleged circulation of child sexual abuse material.

Authorities added that the investigation remains underway, and more arrests are likely as forensic analysis and digital tracking continue. The operation forms part of Delhi Police’s ongoing efforts to curb cyber-enabled crimes against children and strengthen online child safety.
