Delhi Police Arrests Two in Vehicle Theft Cases, Recovers Stolen Bullet Motorcycle

New Delhi: Delhi Police’s Shahdara District has solved two motor vehicle theft cases with the arrest of two accused and recovery of a stolen Bullet motorcycle, officials said on Saturday.

Crack Team Traces Stolen Motorcycle

The action followed the registration of an online complaint and e-FIR regarding the theft of a Bullet motorcycle. The case was registered as e-FIR No. 017015/26 under Section 305(B) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Gandhi Nagar Police Station in Shahdara district.

The Crack Team of Gandhi Nagar Police Station was tasked with tracing the stolen motorcycle and identifying those involved in the theft.

The team, comprising Sub-Inspector Vikas Kumar and Head Constables Rahul Chaudhary and Aman Bansal, worked under the leadership of the Station House Officer of Gandhi Nagar Police Station and the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Shahdara district.

CCTV Footage Helps Identify Accused

During the investigation, police analysed CCTV footage from areas around the crime scene and adjoining routes to track the movement of the stolen motorcycle.

The team also conducted field verification and gathered local intelligence to identify the suspects. After following several leads, police established the movement trail of the motorcycle and traced the accused.

According to the investigation, 25-year-old Shahzad, a resident of New Seelampur, allegedly stole the Bullet motorcycle and later sold it to Shanu alias Sahanwaj, who allegedly purchased and received the stolen vehicle.

Police subsequently traced both accused and recovered the stolen motorcycle from their possession.

Second Vehicle Theft Case Also Detected

Shanu alias Sahanwaj, a resident of Gali No. 5, Azad Chowk, Sangam Vihar, Wazirabad, Delhi, was allegedly involved as the receiver of the stolen motorcycle.

The recovery of the Bullet motorcycle was linked to e-FIR No. 017015/26 registered under Section 305(B) of the BNS at Gandhi Nagar Police Station.

Further investigation also led police to detect another motor vehicle theft case registered as e-FIR No. 015987/26 under Section 305(2) of the BNS at Gandhi Nagar Police Station.

The investigation is continuing to establish the accused persons’ involvement in other vehicle theft cases, if any.
