Delhi Police Solve ₹9.79 Lakh Foreign Currency Robbery in Pandav Nagar; Two Arrested, 1,100 Euros Recovered

New Delhi: Delhi Police have cracked a high-value foreign currency robbery case registered at Pandav Nagar Police Station, arresting two alleged robbers and recovering 1,100 euros, part of the stolen foreign currency valued at approximately ₹9.79 lakh.

Police also seized the car allegedly used to execute the robbery, while efforts are underway to trace the remaining accused and recover the rest of the stolen money.

Victim Lured to Fake Delivery Location

According to Delhi Police, the accused allegedly used a fake identity to gain the victim’s trust and called him to a fabricated delivery location under the pretext of a transaction.

Once the victim reached the spot, the accused allegedly robbed him of the foreign currency and fled in the vehicle, prompting the victim to approach the police.

Investigators tracked the suspects using technical surveillance and other evidence before arresting two of the accused.

1,100 Euros and Vehicle Recovered

During the investigation, police recovered 1,100 euros, which officials said is part of the robbed foreign currency. The vehicle used in the commission of the crime has also been seized.

Police said the recovered currency forms only a portion of the total amount stolen, and efforts are continuing to recover the remaining foreign currency.

Search On for Remaining Accused

Delhi Police said raids are being conducted to arrest the remaining members of the gang involved in the robbery.

Officials added that further investigation is underway to determine whether the accused were part of a larger interstate network involved in targeting people dealing in foreign currency or high-value cash transactions.

The police are also examining the digital trail, including phone records and financial transactions, to identify other individuals linked to the case.

Note: As of now, Delhi Police has not disclosed the identities of the arrested accused or the victim. Authorities have also not confirmed the total amount of foreign currency recovered beyond the 1,100 euros seized. Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
