New Delhi: Delhi Police have solved a blind murder case within seven hours of recovering the body of a teenage boy in northeast Delhi’s New Usmanpur area, apprehending two juveniles who allegedly confessed to killing the victim after luring him to a park.

Police also recovered the murder weapon, a knife, and the clothes allegedly worn by the accused during the crime.

Teen’s Body Found With Multiple Stab Wounds

According to Delhi Police, information was received at Police Station New Usmanpur at around 11:30 am on July 28 about the body of a young male lying in a pit inside a DDA park near JPC Hospital.

A police team reached the spot and found the body of an unidentified male, aged around 18 years, with multiple stab injuries. A blood-stained knife was also recovered from the crime scene.

The body was shifted to JPC Hospital for preservation, while a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) collected forensic evidence. An FIR under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered, and an investigation was launched.

Technical Surveillance Leads to Arrest of Two Juveniles

To crack the case, multiple police teams analysed CCTV footage, examined technical evidence and conducted extensive surveillance.

The victim was identified as Saad alias Nami (16), a resident of Behta Hajipur, Loni, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

Further investigation led to the identification and apprehension of two Children in Conflict with Law (CCLs), aged 16 and 17 years, who are also residents of Behta Hajipur.

Accused Allegedly Confessed to Murder

During questioning, the juveniles allegedly confessed to the crime.

According to police, the accused told investigators that they worked in a factory where they were frequently bullied and harassed by the deceased.

On July 27, they allegedly lured Saad to the DDA park on the pretext of purchasing slippers. An argument reportedly broke out during their meeting, after which they allegedly stabbed him multiple times before fleeing the scene.

Police said the knife used in the murder and the clothes allegedly worn by the juveniles during the incident have been recovered.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
