Delhi Traffic Cop Killed After Speeding Car Hits Him on Duty Near Singhu Border, Driver Flees

New Delhi: A Delhi Traffic Police head constable was killed after being hit by a speeding car while on duty near Singhu village in outer north Delhi on Tuesday evening. The driver fled the spot immediately after the collision, triggering a police investigation and a search operation to trace the accused.

The deceased officer was deployed to regulate traffic in the area when the speeding vehicle allegedly rammed into him. He sustained critical injuries in the impact and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Driver Flees After Fatal Collision

According to police, the car did not stop after the accident and escaped from the scene. Investigators are examining CCTV footage from nearby roads and checking vehicle movement records to identify the offending vehicle and its driver.

A case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and multiple police teams have been deployed to track down the accused.
