Delhi Woman Murder Case: Suspect Caught After CCTV Clues

New Delhi: A 23-year-old Rahul Meena was arrested on Wednesday night for the murder of a 22-year-old woman in Delhi’s Amar Colony area. According to police, the incident occurred in the same house where he worked some time ago. Investigations have revealed that he may also be linked to another attack in Alwar a few hours earlier.

Case first registered in Alwar

According to police, the accused entered a woman’s house in Alwar on Tuesday night, attacked her, threatened her, and fled. Alwar police have registered a case based on the victim’s complaint.

Incident inside a house in Delhi

Police reported that the accused arrived in Delhi on Wednesday morning and entered his former employer’s home. The young woman was alone at home studying at the time.

When her parents returned home some time later, they found her in critical condition. She later died. Preliminary investigations indicate a possibility of assault and robbery. Police have registered a case of murder, assault, and robbery, while a medical report is awaited.

During the investigation, police tracked the accused’s movements through CCTV footage. He was seen coming and going in different clothes. With the help of an auto-rickshaw, police located him and finally arrested him from a hotel.

Accused’s previous record

According to police, the accused had worked at the victim’s home for about a year but was fired due to alleged misconduct and behavior. The investigation believes that this is why he knew about the house.
