Dense fog causes major road accident on Jind-Kaithal road; three vehicles collide

A major road accident was narrowly averted in Jind on Saturday morning due to dense fog. Two buses and three trucks collided near Kandela village due to extremely low visibility. Fortunately, all the passengers and children on board the Haryana Roadways bus and the school bus remained safe. One truck driver was reported injured in the accident.

According to eyewitnesses, the fog was so thick in the area in the morning that visibility was reduced to less than 10 meters. During this time, two trucks collided on the road near Kandela. After the collision, the trucks came to a standstill on the road. A Haryana Roadways bus approaching from behind was unable to see the trucks in time and collided with them. This led to a pile-up of vehicles on the road, disrupting traffic.

Meanwhile, a bus from Dalalwala Public School also arrived at the scene. Due to the fog and the stationary vehicles ahead, the driver was unable to assess the situation and the school bus collided with one of the trucks parked on the road. Children were on board the school bus at the time of the accident, but due to the driver’s quick thinking and the low speed, a major tragedy was averted. All the children are reported to be completely safe.

One truck driver sustained injuries in the accident and was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment with the help of local residents. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and managed the traffic. The damaged vehicles were removed from the road with the help of a crane, after which traffic resumed normally.
