Dense fog havoc in Sirsa: School bus and pickup truck collide; driver killed

A major road accident occurred in the Kalanwali area on Tuesday morning due to dense fog. A school bus and a pickup truck collided head-on on Trilokwala Road. The pickup truck driver died on the spot, while another person in the pickup truck sustained serious injuries. The injured person has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

According to reports, the accident occurred around 9 AM. Approximately 30 children were on the school bus at the time, on their way to school. Fortunately, all the children on the bus are safe, although some reportedly sustained minor injuries. Panic ensued at the scene after the accident, and local residents immediately informed the police and ambulance services.

The deceased and the injured person have been identified as residents of Hamzapur village in Fatehabad district. The police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. An investigation into the cause of the accident has been launched. Preliminary investigations suggest that dense fog was the cause of the accident.
