Dera Beas Chief Gurinder Singh Dhillon Visits Bikram Majithia in Nabha Jail

Nabha: Gurinder Singh Dhillon, head of the Dera Radha Soami Satsang in Beas, Amritsar, arrived at Nabha jail to meet Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia, who has been arrested in a disproportionate assets case. The meeting lasted approximately 35 minutes. He arrived around 11 a.m. and arrived in his car under tight security.

The Dera chief is a relative of Majithia’s wife, Ganive Kaur. However, as soon as followers learned of his arrival, they arrived in large numbers. He greeted everyone and offered his darshan. However, he did not speak to the media. Prior to this, he visited a flood-affected area in Ropar and then visited the residence of Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains.

The name was on the list of 10 people

Under the jail manual, anyone can meet Majithia. It has been learned that the family has submitted a list of about 10 people to the jail administration, including the name of Dera Beas chief Gurinder Singh Dhillon. Majithia’s wife, Ganieve Kaur, and sister, MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal, have already met him. This Rakshabandhan, she visited Majithia in jail and tied a Rakhi to him. However, they had visited him once before, but were unable to meet him.

Statements recorded from several close people

Majithia was arrested by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau on June 25, 2025, in Amritsar. He is facing charges of amassing disproportionate assets. He has been in jail since then. The Vigilance Bureau has linked this case to an NDPS case filed in 2021. At that time, statements were recorded from over 200 people, including the then Punjab DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyay, former ED Deputy Director Niranjan Singh, and a former MLA from Ajnala. The Vigilance Bureau says the case is very strong and Majithia will not be able to get out of jail easily this time.
