‘Developed Rajasthan Run 2026’ organized in Jaipur on Rajasthan Day

Jaipur: On the occasion of Rajasthan Day, the ‘Developed Rajasthan Run 2026’ was organized across the state, including the capital, Jaipur, on Sunday. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma flagged off the event. A large number of youth, athletes, and the general public participated in the run.

Emphasis on providing employment and opportunities to youth

Addressing the youth, the Chief Minister said that while they faced many difficulties in the last five years, the current government has made recruitment processes transparent and taken action against those who perpetrated injustice against them.

He stated that the state government aims to provide 400,000 government and 600,000 private jobs in five years. So far, appointment letters have been issued to approximately 1.25 lakh youth, while the recruitment process is ongoing for approximately 1.35 lakh posts.

Encouraging Youth to Start Businesses

The Chief Minister said that the government is also encouraging young people to start businesses. MOUs worth approximately ₹35 lakh crore were signed at the ‘Rising Rajasthan Summit,’ of which projects worth approximately ₹8,000 crore have already been initiated.

He informed that loans ranging from ₹50 lakh to ₹1 crore are being made available to young people starting businesses, with the government bearing the interest.

Importance of Fitness and Rajasthan Day

The Chief Minister said that regular running and exercise are essential for a healthy life, and only healthy citizens can play a vital role in the state’s development. He also mentioned Narendra Modi’s ₹Fit India Movement, which aims to inspire people to adopt a fit and active lifestyle.

Rajasthan was formed on March 30, 1949, by the merger of various princely states, in which the then Home Minister, Vallabhbhai Patel, played a key role.
