Jalandhar: Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal has directed the revenue officers to speed up the recovery from the wilful defaulters as any type of laxity will not be tolerated at any cost.
After participating in a review meeting chaired by Financial Commissioner Revenue (FCR), the DC directed the revenue officers to follow the instructions issued by the FCR in letter and spirit.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the collection of recovery, updation of revenue records, E-Court Management system, pendency of mutations, other revenue cases, inspections of revenue records at various levels, besides others.
Mr. Sarangal said that the revenue officers must give top most priority to the collection of all recoveries for enhancing the revenue of the state government.The Deputy Commissioner also asked Sub Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) to personally monitor the cases pertaining to recoveries so that the process could be expedited.
He also directed the officials of revenue department to speed up the process of pending mutation in the district so that people can avail the benefit of these services in a time-bound and hassle-free manner.
The deputy commissioner said that pending mutations must be cleared by the officials at the earliest as any kind of delay in this task would be highly unwarranted.
The DC asked the revenue officials to update the entire revenue record and implement the E-Court management system effectively.
He also reviewed status of consignment of Jamabandis, and live of Jamabandis while taking stock of disbursement and utilisation of funds recieved under SDRF head.
