Jalandhar: Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today visited Leather Complex, Jalandhar and Regional office of Central Leather Research Institute, Jalandhar. CETP Stake Holders brought to the kind notice of Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar that sewerage lines of wet zone area of Leather Complex remains chocked and the sewage waste water overflows besides issues of ownership rights problems for their factory plots allotted/transferred in their names by the Punjab Small Industries & Export Corporation (PSI &EC).
Deputy commissioner assures them speedy redress of these problems faced by them . Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar also visited tannery CETP, Leather Complex, Jalandhar where it was apprised that Ministry of Industry & Commerce has already approved upgradation project of the CETP for a total cost of Rs. 28.64 crores.
Dr. Aggarwal also visited the campus of Regional office of Central Leather Research Institute, Leather Complex, Jalandhar and appreciated for the services provided by this Regional CLRI office towards the promotion of leather industry of Jalandhar.
Prominent amongst present on the occasion included Hira Lal Verma, Parveen Kumar, Deepak Chawla, Amandeep Singh and Jitender Kumar , K.C. Dogra, Administrative Officer, PETS-cum- Nodal Officer,CETP.
Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar assured the Stake Holders of the CETP that the issues came up from the industry during the meeting would be taken up with competent authority for early solution.
