Devotees Enjoy 150-Item Feast at Khatushyam Mela
Khatoo: A bhandara has been organized at Khatushyam Baba’s Lakkhi fair, where devotees are served over 150 dishes. From millet porridge, gulab jamun, imarti, jalebi, laddu, peda, rasgulla, rabri to chaat-papri, tikki, golgappa, dosa, idli, sambar, chowmein, Manchurian, dal-rice, puri-sabzi, chole-bhature, and dahi bhalle—the menu is no less than that of a 5-star hotel.

65 confectioners, new dishes prepared daily

The organizer of the bhandara is Mukesh Sharma, MLA from Gurugram (Haryana). He has been serving here for the past 31 years. Around 65 confectioners prepare different dishes, and new dishes are prepared every day. Once cooked, vegetables or dal are never prepared again.

Medical and Rest Facilities Along with Food

This bhandara, located 1.5 km before the Toran Gate on the Ringas-Khatu Road, offers free medical and rest facilities along with food. A medical team provides bandaging and acupressure services for devotees arriving on foot. Separate counters for water, chaat, sweets, and fruit chaat have been set up inside.

    A 31-Year Tradition of Service

The Sharma family organizes the bhandara from February 14th to February 28th. Every year, they travel on foot from Gurugram to Khatu and begin their service after paying obeisance to Baba Shyam. Every day, lakhs of devotees receive the prasad and join the family in volunteering.
