    120 devotees from Jodhpur stranded in Dubai, appeal to the government for help

    Jodhpur: Around 120 devotees from Jodhpur are stranded in Dubai amid the ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel. All these devotees had gone to Dubai on February 23rd to listen to the Katha of Saint Amritram Maharaj of Bada Ramdwara Sursagar. The Katha was held at the Seven Seas Hotel from February 24th to 28th.

    After the Katha concluded, everyone was preparing to return to India, but their return was delayed due to the worsening situation.

    Flight cancelled upon arrival at the airport

    These devotees had a flight from Dubai to India at around 1 am on Saturday night. After the Katha concluded, everyone arrived at Abu Dhabi airport, where they were informed of the flight cancellation.

    It was reported that the airport was temporarily closed due to bombing in the area. Following this, Dubai police sent all the passengers back to their hotels. It is currently unclear when they will be able to return to India.

    Missile attacks create panic among pilgrims

    Reports of continued missile attacks in Dubai have created an atmosphere of fear among pilgrims. All are currently staying at a hotel in Meena Bazaar.

    Around 100 members of the Mali community from Jodhpur’s Mandore and Sursagar areas were participating in the pilgrimage. The sudden situation has left all pilgrims worried.

    Families worried, seeking help

    Families of pilgrims in Jodhpur are worried about their safe return. Former JDA President Rajendra Singh Solanki has urged former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to provide immediate assistance through the state and central governments.

    Pilgrims stranded in Dubai have also appealed to the central government to ensure their safe return soon.
