Dewas Car Accident: Three Dead, One Critical

Bhopal/Dewas: At least three people were killed and one youth was seriously injured in a horrific road accident on the Dewas-Bhopal Highway near Nevri Fata in Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh, officials said on Sunday.

Speed ​​Caused Accident
The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. when four youths from Gunai village in the Sonkachch area were travelling in a car. Due to the high speed, the car lost control, overturned, and hit the roadside.

The impact was so severe that the vehicle was completely damaged. Three youths died on the spot, while the fourth was seriously injured.

Dead bodies identified, one in critical condition
The deceased have been identified as Shubham, Pradeep, and Mohit, all residents of Gunai village. Two of them were brothers. The injured Sachin was initially taken to a hospital in Dewas and later referred to Indore for better treatment. His condition is reported to be critical.

Investigation underway, several aspects under scrutiny
According to preliminary police investigations, the car was speeding, causing the driver to lose control.

CCTV footage from the scene before the accident also shows the car traveling at high speed. Police have not ruled out other causes, such as mechanical failure or road conditions, and a team has been formed to thoroughly investigate the matter.

Senior police officers arrived at the scene and the bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.

Information to families, appeal for caution
The families of the deceased in Gunai village have been informed. Police have registered a case and are investigating whether the driver was drunk or fatigued.

Officials have appealed to drivers to adhere to speed limits and drive cautiously, especially at night.

The Dewas-Bhopal highway is heavily trafficked and has been the scene of several accidents in the past. Local residents expressed their condolences and demanded speed breakers, better lighting, and stricter patrolling.
