His second wife, actress Hema Malini, shared an emotional tribute to her husband on social media and expressed her feeling for him.

“He was many things to me. A loving husband, a loving father to our two daughters, Isha and Ahana, a friend, a philosopher, a guide, a poet, my go-to person at all times – in fact, he was everything to me!”
