    Dholpur: Attack at Brides’ Home Over ‘Neg’ Dispute, 5 Injured

    A dispute over the amount of ‘neg’ during a wedding ceremony in Chandilpura village, under the Basai Dang police station area of ​​Dholpur district, escalated into a violent clash. This dispute, which began during the farewell, escalated the next day when members of the other side attacked the bride’s home.

    Dispute escalates even after the ₹5,100 gift
    According to reports, the wedding procession arrived in the village on the night of April 26th, and the wedding took place on April 27th. During the farewell, the groom’s side gave a ₹5,100 gift to the barber as part of the rituals. This led to an altercation between the two sides, which was eventually resolved by the villagers.

    House attacked the next day, 5 people injured
    On April 28th, the day after the dispute, at around 7 a.m., members of the other party attacked the bride’s house. Five people, including the brides’ grandparents, were injured in the attack, causing panic in the village.

    Treatment of the injured continues, police investigating
    The injured include Punjab Singh, Loi, Sanju, Kela, and Kalavati, who were immediately admitted to the district hospital and are undergoing treatment. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation. Efforts are being made to identify the accused based on the video that has surfaced.
