Punjab Desk: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government has taken digital governance to new heights, making the revenue department transparent and corruptionfree. The state’s two flagship initiatives Easy Registry and Easy Jamabandi have now become the new identity of Digital Punjab.
Launched in Mohali in May 2025, the Easy Registry service was expanded across the entire state by August. Through this system, citizens can now register property online from the comfort of their homes. Payments are processed through a secure online gateway, and the complete registration process is finished within 48 hours.
Citizens can also request document collection services by calling the 1076 helpline. Similarly, the Easy Jamabandi initiative, launched in June 2025, has provided major relief to farmers and the general public. Through the portal easyjamabandi.punjab.gov.in or via WhatsApp, people can now obtain digitally signed and QR-coded free copies of land records within minutes. Mutation (Intkal) processes are now completed within 30 days. Nearly 99% of villages in the state have had their land records fully digitized.
The service has proved especially beneficial for NRIs, senior citizens, and farmers. According to government estimates, these digital services are saving the public more than ₹100 crore every year. Chief Minister Mann stated, “Digital transparency is the foundation of true good governance.” Today, Punjab has emerged as a model of e-governance where the culture of bribery and delays has become a thing of the past.
