Diljit Dosanjh’s Delhi Concert Gets Police Clearance Ahead of October 30 Show

New Delhi: Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s Delhi concert has received police clearance after officials reviewed the security arrangements with the organisers. The decision clears the way for the October 30 show at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, which had faced uncertainty earlier this week over security concerns.

Police officials told ANI that permission was granted after multiple meetings with the organisers. During these discussions, the team presented detailed plans to address the concerns raised by the authorities.

The concert is part of Diljit’s Aura India Tour 2026. Police had reportedly denied permission earlier, citing threat-related inputs, security requirements during the festive season and other law and order duties across the capital.

    Why Was Permission Delayed?

An earlier letter from the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Delhi, addressed to ticketing platform BookMyShow reportedly stated that permission could not be granted because of security concerns.

With a large crowd expected at the stadium, police had to consider the arrangements needed to manage the event safely. The festive season and other security duties in Delhi also added to the challenge.

After several meetings and a review of the organisers’ plans, the authorities have now given the concert the go-ahead. Further details about the security arrangements have not yet been made public.

Diljit Dosanjh’s Aura India Tour 2026

The Delhi concert is part of the seven-city India leg of Diljit’s Aura Tour, announced earlier in October. The tour is scheduled to cover Delhi-NCR, Indore, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chandigarh and Lucknow.

Before announcing the India shows, Diljit performed across North America, Europe and Australia. His international performances have helped bring Punjabi music to wider audiences. His Wembley appearance was also reported as a milestone for Punjabi singers.

With police permission now in place, fans can look forward to the October 30 concert. Organisers are expected to share further updates about the event and its arrangements.

    Diljit Dosanjh’s Upcoming Film

Apart from music, Diljit has also been in the spotlight for his acting work. He was recently seen in Satluj and received praise for his performance in Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapas Aaunga.

His upcoming Punjabi comedy film Ranna Ch Dhanna is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 25, 2027.
