Dispute over songs played by DJ, man crushed by pickup driver in Bhiwani

A young man was brutally murdered by a pickup truck in Sui village, in the Bawanikheda area, following a dispute over a DJ not playing a song of his choice. The incident occurred late Thursday night. Bawanikheda police took possession of the body and began the post-mortem at the district civil hospital on Friday morning. Statements from the deceased’s family are being recorded, after which a murder case will be filed against the suspects.

A DJ was playing songs at a well-wishing ceremony for the birth of Rajesh, a 31-year-old resident of Sui village, and Rajesh was dancing to the music. During the ceremony, he asked the DJ Suraj to play his favorite song. However, when the DJ refused, he had an altercation with the DJ pickup driver, Sunny, and the operator, Suraj. The DJ’s pickup truck then ran over Rajesh, killing him on the spot.

Bawanikheda police arrived at the scene after receiving information about the incident and inspected the scene. Tensions have persisted since the incident. Omprakash, investigating officer at Bawanikheda police station, said that the police have recorded statements from the family members and conducted a post-mortem examination of the body in the young man’s murder case. The police are investigating the matter.
