2025 is going to be a dream year’—Sonam Bajwa on her hat-trick of successes in Bollywood

Mumbai: The year 2025 is proving to be a very special one for Punjabi actress Sonam Bajwa’s career. This year, she delivered not one, not two, but three major Bollywood hits—”Houseful 5″, “Baaghi 4”, and “Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat”. Continuing this streak of success, Sonam is now set to be a part of another highly anticipated film, “Border 2”.

Recalling this exciting phase of her career, Sonam said that getting the opportunity to work with big banners and big stars was nothing short of a dream come true for her.

Got New Opportunity in Bollywood

Sonam further shared that the tremendous success of her film “Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat” with Harshvardhan Rane opened up many new opportunities for her in the industry.

He said, “2025 has been a dream year for me. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of Bollywood’s biggest producers and actors and received so much love from Hindi audiences. The success of ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ has opened many new avenues for me, and now with ‘Border 2,’ I’m excited to see how this film resonates with audiences. Hoping Good success for Border 2 

Sonam Bajwa has been cast opposite Diljit Dosanjh in this war-based drama. The recently released teaser of “Border 2” has already raised audience expectations for director Anurag Singh’s film.

Presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, in association with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J. Produced by J.P. Dutta and Nidhi Dutta, the film is a sequel to J.P. Dutta’s 1997 superhit film “Border.”

The film stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Anya Singh, Mona Singh, and Medha Rana in pivotal roles. “Border 2” is expected to release in theaters on January 23, 2026, during the Republic Day weekend.

Notably, Sunny Deol has been a part of both films in the franchise, while actor Sunil Shetty’s son, Ahan Shetty—whose father played a key role in “Border”—has been cast in the sequel.
