Drone intrusion from Pakistan at Fazilka border; Pistol and cartridges recovered

A plot to smuggle weapons from Pakistan into India via drone across the international border has been foiled. A drone was discovered in Indian territory near Tahliwala, a border village in Fazilka. In a joint operation by the BSF and the Ghubaya police, a Chinese-made pistol, two magazines, and four cartridges were recovered alongside the drone from a paddy field.

Upon receiving information about the drone from the BSF, Abhishek Sharma, the in-charge of the Ghubaya police post, arrived at the scene with his team. The police sealed off the area and conducted a search operation lasting several hours. During the search, the weapons were recovered from the paddy field along with the drone.

It had penetrated about one kilometer inside

According to the police, the drone had crossed the international border fence and penetrated approximately one kilometer into Indian territory. The recovered weapons have been seized, and a case has been registered to initiate an investigation. The police are working to determine the intended recipient of the weapons and identify the network operating behind this activity.
