Amritsar: Amritsar Police has busted a drug racket running from Malaysia and arrested three accused. Drugs were ordered from Pakistan through drones.
Islamabad (Amritsar) Police had received information that Lovepreet Singh son Jagir Singh and Jagdish Singh son of Suchha Singh both residents of village Kauke Kalan, Police Station Gharinda District Amritsar ordered heroin from Pakistan.
After receiving the consignment they supply heroin in Amritsar city and surrounding rural areas. Today Islamabad police station received information that both are roaming in the area of UT Market. Both are coming here to handover the supply of heroine. Police staff immediately rushed and caught both the accused. during the search police has recovered 700 grams heroin.
On the identification of the accused, Sahib Singh resident Khasa Colony, Police Station Khasa has also been arrested by the police. From whom three foreign made pistols have been recovered. Out of which two pistols have ‘Made in Austria’ and one has ‘Made NATO Army’ written on them.
ADCP City One Vishaljit Singh said that on interrogation of the arrested persons, it was found that all the three accused work for Gaurav alias Gora, resident near Pannalal Da Chowk, village Kauke Kalan, who is currently in Malaysia. The said person used to talk to Sahib Singh alias Saba and Jagdish Singh alias Disha from his foreign WhatsApp number and used to send consignment of heroin from Pakistan through drone and used to give the location of the pistol from foreign Glock.
Heroin was brought from Pakistan through drone from the place mentioned by Gaurav alias Gore and the supply to unknown persons continued. On 29 August 2024 , Sahib Singh alias Saba made a kit of 704 grams of heroin in 2 parcels of 352-352 grams each. Which was supplied to Jagdish Singh and Lovepreet Singh in the UT market.
