Mandi (Himachal Pradesh): Sunder Nagar police station staff caught two women and recovered 966 gm hashish. Police nab women during checking at the blockade on Manali-Chandigarh highway. Interrogation is going on to find out where the women had brought the consignment of hashish.
According to the information, the team of Sunder Nagar police station had set up a check post near Pung Chamukha on Kiratpur-Nerchowk four-lane, where every vehicle was being checked. While this was happening, a private bus traveling from Palampur to Shimla was stopped for inspection.
During the investigation, two women traveling in the bus got scared after seeing the police team. When the team searched the belongings of both the women, 966 grams of hashish was recovered from a backpack. Both the women have been identified as Ramkali, age 45 years, village Silhibagi, district Mandi and Chhina, age 40 years, post office Bajaura Bhuntar, district Kullu.
Both the women were boarding a private bus from Mandi to Shimla. Both the women have been arrested under NDPS Act. DSP Sundernagar Bharat Bhushan confirmed the case and said that two women from Kullu and Mandi have been arrested with 966 grams of hashish and further investigation is underway in the case.
