Dr. Sandeep, who was on night shift at Charkhi Dadri Civil Hospital, has been accused of assaulting an HKRN security guard, a Home Guard soldier, and a patient at around 4 a.m. on Wednesday.
Doctor was drunk
According to a complaint submitted to Acting CMO Vaidpal, HKRN employee Ashish, who was on duty in the emergency ward, stated that Dr. Sandeep, under the influence of alcohol, began assaulting him without any reason.
Home Guard soldier’s uniform torn
When a Home Guard soldier tried to rescue Ashish, Dr. Sandeep also abused and assaulted him, tearing his uniform. A patient was also allegedly assaulted during the incident. In protest, HKRN employees halted work for an hour from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., disrupting outpatient and medical services.
The CMO had promised action within two hours, but when no action was taken by 11 a.m., the staff went on strike again, completely disrupting the hospital’s outpatient department.
Acting CMO Vaidpal has assured that a committee will be formed to conduct an impartial investigation and a letter will be written to headquarters requesting action. However, no formal action has been taken by the police yet.
