Drunken youths fight over DJ music at wedding, policeman who tries to stop killed

Aman Kumar, a police officer from Kambasi village, who was attending a wedding in Mulana, was attacked. 15 to 20 youths attacked him with iron rods and sticks. He died in the attack.

Aman was posted in Yamunanagar. Based on a complaint from Aman’s brother, Sunandan, the police have registered a case against Tinku, Rohit, Aman, Sonu, and other youths from Shubh Majri village, Yamunanagar.

Sunandan stated that his aunt’s daughter’s wedding was taking place in Sirasgarh village on November 12th. He and his brother, Aman, had gone to the wedding with their family. While dancing to the DJ music, the youths got into an argument and left the Ambedkar Bhawan, cursing people.

After the garland ceremony, he and his brother, Aman, left the Ambedkar Bhawan around 5:30 pm to go home. They went to retrieve their car.

During this time, they heard sounds of fighting, so he and his uncle, Shubham, rushed to the scene. He saw two young men holding his brother Aman and two to three others beating him on the head with iron rods and sticks. When he tried to intervene, they hit him on the head with a stick as well, injuring him. His brother was taken to MM Hospital, where he died during treatment.
